The Madison County Fiscal Court and Detention Center were nearly 30 years old and had major capital needs. This Detention Center was the major driver of this renovation project and took on a bulk of the scope of work. There were major infrastructure needs, efficiency upgrades, and life safety measures that needed to be addressed to make the building healthier and safer for inmates and staff.
The project covered upgrades to 10 facilities. Energy conservation measures that were incorporated consisted of the following:
