Features

Woodford County is steeped in tradition and history. The Courthouse that sits at the center of town is no different. Built in the 1960s, Woodford County Fiscal Court has made some significant improvements to the exterior of the facility. The two-pipe hot water/chilled water system was original to the Courthouse. Through the ESPC, Woodford County will be replacing all pieces of mechanical equipment along with installing all new piping as the upgrades will convert the facility to a four-pipe system. In addition to improved comfort and efficiency, the upgrades to the core system will help the Courthouse realize operational cost savings well into the future. Also included in the scope are significant renovations at the Detention Center, Animal Shelter, Senior Citizens Center, and Road Garage.

The project covered upgrades to 5 facilities. Energy conservation measures that were incorporated consisted of the following:

  • Lighting retrofits and occupancy sensors
  • Major mechanical renovations
  • Roof replacements
  • Building envelope sealing
  • Water conservation
  • Generator & life safety upgrades
