Perfection Group Inc., a Cincinnati-based design/build and engineering firm specializing in mechanical and environmental systems, has announced it has entered the Nashville market after having purchased Cook’s Mechanical Services of La Vergne.
The company did not disclose the acquisition price in a release.
With the move, the 60-plus-year-old Perfection now has offices in 10 cities in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and Tennessee. The company employs approximately 200 people.
The La Vergne location is part of the company’s strategic growth plan, Jack Albrecht, Perfection CEO, said in the release. The company had been considering a middle Tennessee presence for more than two years.
“We found the right contractor to buy, with the right set of values. We are very excited about this opportunity to grow our business,” Albrecht said. “A central Tennessee location gives us the unique ability to introduce ourselves to new customers and better service existing ones.”
Perfection Group was founded in 1951 by Ed Albrecht, Jack Albrecht’s father, to fill a then-growing need for contractors who could convert coal-burning furnaces into gas-fired units. Today, the company specializes in designing, building and maintaining energy-efficient systems for commercial, industrial and institutional customers.
