Pickaway County had aging buildings with energy savings opportunities. Perfection performed an energy analysis and determined the best method for the County to make energy savings upgrades and pay for the savings over a 15 year period. The list of 9 buildings included: Courthouse, Sheriff’s Office, Board of Commissioners, County Annex, Service Center, Service Center Metal, Old Jail, Dog Shelter, Planning Office.
Perfection’s solution was a $3,000,000 House Bill 295 project to upgrade the facilities. The energy and operational savings are projected at over $156,000 per year. This energy project has a projected environmental impact by reducing the following: Carbon Dioxide (CO2) reduced by 9.54 metric tons, Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) reduced by 2.23 metric tons, and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) reduced by 0.82 metric tons. In addition, Perfection projected AEP utility rebate amounts of $30,000 but was actually able to secure over $50,000.
